Prince Andrew’s accuser, Virginia Giuffre’s family issue second statement.
The family of the 41-year-old who passed away from suicide earlier this year have shared a plea to the royal family.
The plea was shared in an interview with ITV’s This Morning by Virginia’s brother Sky Roberts, and his wife, Amanda.
Amanda said, addressing the royal family “I would say you have an opportunity to promote change.”
“You have an opportunity to say that you’ll be a Royal Family who protects the innocent no matter who is implicated, that you’ll stand on the right thing.”, she continued.
She continued that this is an opportunity for the royal family to gain people’s trust and the family is hoping they would do so.
“Our sister has waited far too long for that acknowledgement and that justice, and we would hope that we can trust you to do that.”, she added.
The statement comes after Virginia’s book Nobody's Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice dropped in which she writes about her encounters with the former duke.
On October 17, ahead of the release of the book, Andrew announced he will be renouncing his royal titles after receiving harsh backlash.
He had already ceased to be a working royal before that.
