Meghan Markle's 'fancy' breakfast recipe backfires online: 'It's just eggs'

Meghan Markle’s latest culinary creation hasn’t exactly gone down a treat with fans. 

The Duchess of Sussex, 44, took to her As Ever brand’s Instagram page on Monday to share what she described as an “elevated breakfast recipe”, but followers were quick to scramble her efforts.

The post featured a pair of savoury crepes folded around fried eggs, topped with baby tomatoes and basil, and made using her sold-out As Ever Crepe Mix, which retails for $14. 

Meghan described the dish as a “fun and elevated take on your favorite breakfast sandwich,” encouraging fans to mix in any veggies from their fridge.

But social media users weren’t convinced. 

One X user quipped: “What a load of crepe,” while another joked, “It’s not just food, it’s a quiet rebellion against boring routines.”
