Drake’s social media post appears to be an unintentional but glaring nod at his rap rival Kendrick Lamar’s diss against him.

The Nokia rapper took to his Instagram stories to post his excitement for Euphoria’s upcoming season, set for release in 2026.

As it turns out, the show has the same name as the song released by the TV Off singer in April of last year, with a sarcastic tone and hate-filled lyrics with deep cuts.

Soon after Drake posted the show’s post to his story, Kendrick’s fans began tearing into him on social media platforms.

Under a fan account that goes by the name of ‘Drake Direct’ on X (formerly Twitter) that posted a screenshot of the social media activity, internet users flooded the comments about Euphoria, the song.

“Only euphoria we acknowledge is Kendrick song,” one netizen wrote while another added “Am I the only one that got a flashback when they first saw this?”

A third internet user wrote, “O I just know he got ptsd looking at that photo” as a fourth simply penned, “Ironic.”

When did the Drake and Kendrick Lamar feud begin?

The highly publicised rivalry between Drake and Lamar originally began in 2013 when the Canadian rapper responded to the Compton native’s verse on the track Control by Big Sean.

After years of subtle jabs, the feud became mainstream in 2023 when J. Cole collaborated with Drake on First Person Shooter.

In the song, Cole claimed that he, Drake, and Lamar are the “big three” rappers of contemporary hip-hop, a notion that was dismissed by Lamar, who proclaimed in Like That that it is “just big me.”
