Melanie Chisholm, better known as Melanie C, has reached an exciting milestone in her career with a major new venture.
The 51-year-old Spice Girls icon has inked a brand-new deal with Virgin Music Group as she prepares to unleash her upcoming single Sweat and ninth studio album of the same name.
Notably, she announced the exciting partnership through her independent label, Red Girl Records, describing the move as “a homecoming.”
“I’m thrilled to be releasing my new music with Virgin Music Group. It feels like coming home after the successes we shared with Spice Girls and my first two solo albums, she gushed.
They’re paving the way for more artist-led deals — I can’t wait to see what we’ll achieve together.”
Vanessa Bosåen, President of Virgin Music Group UK, was equally delighted, calling Mel “a unique force of nature” and promising fans an “intoxicating new era” from the beloved pop star.
Reportedly, the highly-anticipated new record Sweat will be her first since 2020’s Melanie C, and is slated for release in 2026.
This will mark a bold new chapter for the chart-topping singer who’s sold millions worldwide.
Even more thrilling, Spice Girls mania is back, as the legendary girl group is officially reuniting for a brand-new animated project, The Spice Girls.
This will see all five members, Victoria, Geri, Mel B, Mel C, and Emma, voicing superhero versions of their iconic alter egos.
