When you’re the first lady of United States, avoiding the wrath of public criticism is almost impossible. And when you’re Melania Trump, make that tenfold -- courtesy her husband of course!

The FLOTUS and her attire has always been the centre of public’s attention. While the former model is no less a style icon, some of her fashion choices have been super controversial.

Here is the list of 5 biggest fashion goof-ups by Mrs.Trump:

1- The First Lady wore this blush tone Gucci ensemble to meet former President Bill Clinton in October 2016. Amusingly enough, she chose to wear this Gucci pussy-bow blouse only few days after the video of her husband ‘Grab them by the [expletive]’ was doing rounds on internet. Cheeky much?

2- Melania took off for Texas in August 2017 to witness the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey and oversee the relief efforts while wearing stilettos'! Melania's choice of footwear soon became the talking point and ended up distracting from the real issue; the havoc in ground. Following the criticism, she changed into sneakers later.

3- The infamous Zara Jacket buzz was probably the most talked about fashion moments of the first lady. Melania wore this $39 olive green jacket which read, “I Really Don’t Care, Do U" while visiting an immigration detention facility in June 2018. The outfit immediately ignited an outrage on social media, with many questioning the hidden message in it.

4- The first lady delivered her first United Nations speech in September 2017 wearing a bright pink Delpozo outfit. In her address she stressed on child advocacy saying, “No child should ever feel hungry,” while sporting a $2950 luxurious puff-sleeve fuchsia dress. Oh the irony!

5- In October 2018, on her first solo trip overseas visiting Africa, Mrs. Trump while taking a safari, donned khaki pants, a white button up, brown boots. However, it was the ‘pith helmet’ that grabbed all the attention. The headgear sparked worldwide outrage as it is considered a symbol of colonial rule. The first lady was heavily criticized for the culturally insensitive outfit.
