The loud and vocal rapper Cardi B reacted upon a problematic tweet alleging that she and others have caused Hermès Birkin bags to “literally” lose “their value.”

The tweet in question went on to say that “these bags are supposed to be exclusive and you’re supposed to be big in the fashion world and have relationships with these people to get one,” implying that Cardi’s purses are fake.

The American rapper and songwriter takes her closet filled with Birkin Bags seriously, and she was quick to give a shut up call to the hater via an Instagram video. “I've been seeing this tweet right,” the 28-year-old began.

“First things first: I definitely could get a bag — actually, I got four bags today from the Hermès store,” the WAP rapper said on video. “I don't wanna brag, but it's, like, don't even try it.”

“Second of all: Why is it that y'all asking female rappers if they can get a bag from the Hermès store?” Cardi continued. “Y'all don't do this to these white celebrities. Why is it that y'all gotta be asking us? What the [expletive]? It just makes you wanna brag, like, ‘[expletive], do you know who the [expletive] you’re talking to?' I'm not even 'gonna take it there.”

She went on saying, “Why when a Black girl, why when a Hispanic girl have a bag y'all have to question it?”

“So why is it that y'all gotta be asking us? What the [expletive]? It just makes you want to brag like, '[expletive] do you know who the [expletive] you're talking to?' But no, I'm not even going to take it there," she said.

"Another thing is that they're saying we're depreciating the value," she continued. "Actually, we add value because when we mention brands in hip-hop, [expletive] go up."

Cardi went on to refer to her hit single Bodak Yellow, which mentioned the designer Christian Louboutin. “When 'Bodak Yellow' came out you could actually Google that their sales went up 1000 per cent,” she said. "When y'all say that we devalue [expletive], no we actually add value."
