Vanessa Hudgens makes rare comment on Zac Efron

Vanessa Hudgens has made a rare comment on her High School Musical co-star Zac Efron.

The actress admitted that her “real” chemistry with the actor helped them in the movies.

The 36-year-old starred as Gabriella Montez with Zac starring as Troy Bolton in the beloved 2006 Disney Channel film.

The duo also ended up dating in real life from 2005 to 2010.

Speaking on Bart Johnson's Get Your Head In The Game podcast, she said “Of course I was a child and paired with this boy and I was like, 'Oh my god, he's so cute.'”

Complimenting their chemistry she said it was “so real”.

She also revealed that while filming the original film's opening karaoke scene, the shred glances were in fact real.

Vanessa also looked back at her character saying that while he was a perfect fit for her character, she did desired to be seen as something different.

“It's so funny looking back, I was so innocent but I was also playing so innocent, so it was like the hat on the hat. Like, wow, she's really pure.”, she explained.

After her break up with Zac, she went on to date Austin Butler until their break up in 2019. She married Cole Tucker in 2023.
