British rising star Lola Young needs a break after collapsing onstage during her performance at a New York City music festival.
Following the incident, the next day, Lola announced the cancellation of her Sept. 28 performance at the All Things Go Music Festival in Washington, D.C.
“I’m sorry to confirm that I won’t be playing All Things Go in D.C. today,” she wrote on Instagram. “I love this job and I never take my commitments and audience for granted, so I’m sorry to those who will be disappointed by this.”
Lola continued, "I hope you’ll all give me another chance in the future. Thank you to all those who listen and care."
The Messy singer later addressed online critics with a plea, writing, “To all the people that love to be mean online, please give me a day off.”
Lola collapsed during her performance of Conceited at the All Things Go Music Festival at Forest Hills Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 27, and was carried off stage by medical staff.
After the event, Lola took to Instagram to address her fans via a story update.
She assured fans that she is “doing okay now.” The pop star also shared her gratitude, writing, “Thank you for all of your support.”
