Turkish singer Güllü has passed away after falling from her balcony in her home in Çnarck, Yalova.
The singer, whose real name is Gül Tut, was 51 when she fell from the balcony of the sixth floor.
The news was confirmed by her son Tuberk Yaz on social media just hours after the incident.
Previosuly, it was being reported that it was a suicide but her son confirmed that it was infact an accident.
“I am posting this message to share sad news. The suicide reports circulating on social media are unfounded”, he wrote.
He further added, “I will share developments regarding the funeral here. May she rest in peace.”
Gül was enjoying time with her daughter and a family friend around 3am when she complained of feeling unwell and fell.
The singer was pronounced dead at scene.
It was also confirmed by Yalova Governor's Office in a statement that there was a call made for “fall from height” in Harmanlar Neighbourhood on Vali Ak Street.
The statement mentioned that “the health team's examination revealed that she had passed away.”
Following the emergency call, officials rushed to the scene.
