Sarah Ferguson acting like victim, claims Prince Andrews biographer

Prince Andrew’s biographer has delivered a scathing verdict on Sarah Ferguson after her 2011 email to Jeffrey Epstein resurfaced.

Andrew Lownie, author of Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, told Express.co.uk he has little sympathy for the Duchess of York, 65, following the backlash.

The email, in which Fergie called Epstein her “supreme friend” and apologised for disowning him publicly, has already cost her several charity patronages.

Her team insists the note was sent under duress, fearing a lawsuit from Epstein.

But Lownie was unsparing: “I don’t have a great deal of sympathy for her. She’ll pick herself up. She’s the Becky Sharp of the Royal Family.”

He accused Sarah of acting like “the victim” and having “no self-awareness,” comparing her resilience to scandal-hit politicians who always find a way back.

The biographer predicted she is “huddled with her PR people” plotting a comeback.

“Lots of naive Americans will think poor thing, she’s a victim,” Lownie added. “We probably haven’t had the end of Fergie, but we deserve to.”
