Asap Rocky is reflecting on the diss-track back-and-forth that has now taken a legal turn, between Drake and Kendrick Lamar.
The Sundress rapper had also taken shots at the Nokia singer on Show of Hands with Future and Metro Boomin, which the latter had replied to in Family Matters, a track aimed primarily at the 22-time Grammy winner.
In an interview with Elle however, the 36-year-old surprisingly stated about the rap beef between the two artists, “It was healthy for hip-hop.”
“The battle was between Kendrick and Drake, not Drake and everybody else who might have said something at that time, and that’s mainly why I fell back. I just hate the way it’s turning out with [Drake] suing and all that,” Asap added.
It appeared that he was condemning the Canadian rapper’s actions and the serious escalation of the diss track centered feud with his defamation lawsuit against his record label Universal Music Group, over their alleged promotion of Kendrick’s rage-filled tracks about him.
Notably, the war of words was seemingly won by the Euphoria rapper with his chart-topping, record breaking song, Not Like Us.
Asap was accused of firing a gun at a former friend, but the court of law found him not guilty of the crime.
