Margot Robbie, Colin’s ‘A Big Bold Beautiful Journey’ fails to impress?

Margot Robbie, who is notable for her role in Barbie and Wuthering Heights, shared screen with Colin Farrell in their new movie A Big Bold Beautiful Journey.

The project of the two Hollywood A-list stars received harsh reviews from critics after debuting at 56 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

Apart from being called “a big, bold, beautiful bore,” the 2025 movie was criticised by Indiewire’s write Ryan Lattanzio, who feels it is “miscalculated as a romance and a fantasy.”

Although Ryan was not happy to “blame a craftsman as intelligent” as Kogonada, he called out the filmmaker for choosing to “direct this lousy script.”

The Wrap’s William Bibbiani called it a “slam dunk” as it employed these “two wonderful and magnetic performers,” without giving them “something meaningful to perform.”

According to Tomris Laffly for Variety, the motion picture head to an “unfortunate bore” towards the end after showing “some pretty lens flares, cutesy needle drops.”

However, Margot’s fans have showed immense support to the actress and his co-star as one X user gushed about the project by calling it a “solid start!”

Another admirer noted that it “was a great debut,” while a third netizen was of the opinion that the Suicide Squad lead’s “star power always delivers.”

When is A Big Bold Beautiful Journey coming out?

The new movie, which releases on September 19, might be able to shift the narrative after fans head to the theatres.
