Owen Cooper gets ‘secret’ message from Hollywood’s greatest

Rising English star Owen Cooper has been receiving heaps of praise since his Emmy win.

The young actor became the youngest male actor to bag a Primetime Emmy at the age of 15.

Owen earned the award for his role as Jamie in Netflix's miniseries Adolescence.

While the young kid is being praised by the public, he also received a special message from one of the greatest ever to grace screens.

The 15-year-old got a very personal message from the legendary Robert De Niro after his historic win on Sunday.

After winning the award, Owen was handed a note that read: “Good luck in the future. Stay humble.”

Owen met Robert earlier in March on the BBC One Show. When asked to give the young star some advice, the Hollywood legend said “Well, I think he's off to a good start, that's the main thing.”

The Taxi Driver star also said he believes that Owen has a long career ahead of him.

While the show was being shot, Owen was only 14 when he gave the bone-chilling performance that sparked conversations within the government.
