Hollywood legend Robert Redford has passed away at the age of 89.
The legendary star breathed his last at his home at Sundance in the mountains of Utah on September 16.
The Oscar winner was also dubbed as the “godfather for independent cinema”.
While his career was full of iconic hits and memorable characters, Robert’s last ever project gave him the finality he deserved.
While mostly Robert worked in the 20th century, six years ago, he gave an all-timer hit that is considered one of the greatest movies ever.
The late actor appeared in Avengers: Endgame as Alexander Pierce, the disgraced former director of S.H.I.E.L.D.
The actor was revealed to be the secret leader of Hydra and died in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. He later reprised his role in a cameo in Endgame.
Robert’s last ever project made nearly $2.8 billion worldwide and became one of the highest-grossing films of all time.
Later in 2020, he also voiced Lokia the Dolphin Monster in 2020’s animated Omniboat: A Fast Boat Fantasia but was not seen in a feature show or film.
