Kim Kardashian, who was recently criticised online over alleged illegal cosmetic procedures, is once again facing scrutiny.
However, a former Keeping Up With The Kardashians boss has defended her, branding claims that her Paris robbery was faked as “incredibly cruel.”
For those unfamiliar, the 43-year-old reality star was tied up and held at gunpoint during Paris Fashion Week, when masked raiders stole millions of pounds’ worth of jewellery.
Sixteen suspects, dubbed the “Grandpa Robbers” due to their age, were later arrested.
At the time, conspiracy theories circulated online suggesting the ordeal had been staged to boost ratings for the family’s reality show.
Now Jeff Olde, former E! executive producer and close Kardashian ally, has hit back at the rumours.
Speaking to the Daily Star, he said: “I thought it was really cruel. I knew the family and really loved and respected them, so I thought it was incredibly cruel. I can only imagine how terrifying that was for Kim.”
Olde, who appears in the new discovery+ documentary Inside The Kim Kardashian Heist, also praised the star’s resilience.
“The Kardashians pick themselves up, dust themselves off, and move on. Kim is inherently kind, smart and forgiving – probably more forgiving than I would’ve been,” he said.
All three episodes of the documentary will be available on discovery+ from September 23.
