Taylor Swift has shared the first footage from her upcoming, highly anticipated album, The Life of a Showgirl, which made Swifties impatient.
After hours of a countdown on Swift’s website in her signature style, it ended with a mysterious, glittery progress bar, revealing a seven-second video on the album’s Spotify page.
The clip dropped late on Friday, September 12, with no audio attached.
In the video, the 35-year-old singer appeared in the same striking outfit from her Life of a Showgirl: The Tiny Bubbles in Champagne cover shoot, featuring bold red feathers and a dazzling star-shaped diamond headpiece.
In another post, Swift, who recently announced her engagement to NFL star Travis Kelce, encouraged fans to pre-save the track on Spotify or Apple Music.
But soon after the snippets surfaced, fans flooded social media with disappointment, voicing their frustration over the unexpected teaser.
“Go girl, give us nothing,” a fan wrote on social media.
Another raged, “WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR TWO DAYS FOR THIS??”
But some Swifties were more supportive, with one writing, “She's lucky she's stunning or else I'd be throwing hands right now.”
Another said, “I waited two days for a gif…”
Swift’s 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, is set to drop early next month, recorded during breaks from her record-shattering Eras Tour in 2024.
