Sabrina Carpenter, who has been making headlines with her new album Man’s Best Friend, credited her fans for pushing it straight to the top of the charts.
The 26-year-old pop star’s new release stormed to No.1 on the Billboard 200, despite stirring controversy over its risqué cover.
Remarkably, the album sold an impressive 366,000 units in its first week.
All 12 tracks landed in the Billboard Hot 100 top 40, with hits Tears and Manchild cracking the top five.
Sharing her excitement on Instagram, Sabrina gushed: “You guys have made Man’s Best Friend my second #1 album and my highest debut ever. Making this album with Jack Antonoff, Amy Allen and John Ryan was one of the most pure, wholesome, electric times in my life.
Thank you for bringing this album into your lives and having such a damn good time with it. I’m having fun too. I love you I love you I love you.”
It hasn’t all been smooth sailing, as the album cover showing the songstress on all fours with a man pulling her hair has sparked criticism.
She even defended it to NPR, saying it explores themes of dominance, submission, and emotional metaphor.
Despite the controversy, it scored the biggest streaming debut of 2025 by a female artist.
