Rolling Stones gear up for fresh record with European tour on the horizon
Rock icons the Rolling Stones, best known for their electrifying performances, have surprised fans with a brand-new album.
The legendary band is putting the final touches on their latest record, and music lovers won’t have to wait long this time.
Following their major comeback in 2023 with Hackney Diamonds, their first new material in nearly twenty years, the band is already back in the studio.
Speaking to the special Rolling Stones edition of Record Collector magazine, Keith Richards’ son Marlon revealed that the rock legends have been recording late into the night in West London and are nearly finished.
Furthermore, he added that their Grammy win for Best Rock Album has given them a fresh burst of energy, inspiring them to press ahead with a follow up.
Marlon also hinted that some tracks may come from material left over from the last sessions.
Later on, he confirmed that a European tour is being lined up for next year, giving fans plenty to get excited about.
Meanwhile, guitarist Ronnie Wood, who often plays mediator between Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, admitted the group do not spend much time together when not working.
“They have been close since childhood,” Ronnie explained.
“They might argue, but it is family. The Stones were never going to fall apart.”
He recalled having to step in to patch up rows in the past, stressing that keeping the band together was always his priority.
