Ed Sheeran turned down partying with music icon
The singer released his highly anticipated album ‘Play’
British music star Ed Sheeran has spilled beans on who he turned down for party in recent confession.
The singer has been going around promoting his recent album Play, which was released on Friday September 12.
The singer revealed he turned down partying with rock legend The Rolling Stones.
Ed opened for the band in Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City on their 2015 Zip Code Tour.
The singer revealed that British icon Keith Richards invited him to party with him which he refused.
Revealing why he refused, Ed had a solid reason.
The Shape of You singer denied the party invite because he had already been partying too much.
Recalling his routine in those days to Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, he said, “I would smoke, drink, stay up all night, be in the studio for 12 hours a day, then do a three-hour show and then go and do it again.”
On how Keith invited him, he said “I opened up for The Stones and I remember Keith Richards being like, 'Hey man, we're going for a drink afterwards.'”
Ed later quit those habits after the death of his friend Jamal Edwards.
