Leigh-Anne Pinnock recently revealed that a chart-topping song by K-pop girl group KATSEYE was first offered to Little Mix years ago.

In conversation with Popcrave, the 33-year-old singer admitted that her group member, Perrie Edwards, and she loved the song, but they still passed it along.

Notably, the track Gabriela, which has been on the Billboard 100 charts for seven consecutive weeks, was first given to Little Mix and other groups before being sung by the multicultural ladies.

Netizens had their own say on which group the song fits better, and KATSEYE came on top. One fan commented on social media, “They would've done an incredible job, but the song is so Katseye.”

Another follower wrote, “Katseye definitely made it their own, but this could’ve been a whole different era.”

In the past year, the K-pop girl group has gained a massive following with their high-energy choreography and catchy songs like Touch, Gnarly, and Gabriela.

On September 8, the six-member group won their first VMA (Video Music Awards) for Best Push Performance.

Meanwhile, members of Little Mix have been exploring their solo careers, with Leigh-Anne having dropped her latest track, Burning, and Perrie Edwards releasing her latest album.

Though they haven’t hinted at any rumours of a reunion yet, netizens are hoping for the girls’ return to the stage.

When did Little Mix break up?

Little Mix did not break up; the band went on hiatus in December 2021 and hasn’t announced any plans to reunite as of yet.
