Ed Sheeran, who is set to release his new album Play this Friday, has some exciting news for his fans.
The 34-year-old global superstar, famous for his chart-topping hits, has revealed that his “twin” album, Rewind, is almost ready.
Unfortunately, fans will have to wait, as the highly anticipated record isn’t expected to hit playlists until 2027.
While speaking to The Sun, Ed shared, “I made Play and Rewind at the same time, and we finished Play first because it felt like the most exciting one.”
“Rewind is I’d say two months off being totally locked and loaded and ready to go. I guess at some point in the next 18 months it will come out,” he continued.
On top of his music plans, the Perfect singer is making a major move stateside.
He revealed on the 2 Johnnies podcast that he, wife Cherry, and their daughters Lyra and Jupiter are relocating to America “for a while” to make life on tour easier.
While the exact location is unconfirmed, reports suggest he has splashed £9 million on a Brooklyn flat.
Ed Sheeran’s first big hit was The A Team in 2011.
It was the lead single from his debut album + (Plus) and quickly earned him international recognition, earning a Grammy nomination for Best Song Written for Visual Media.
