Ed Sheeran recently concluded his Mathematics tour with an emotional speech while announcing upcoming The Loop tour.
On September 9, the 34-year-old singer took to his Instagram and posted a heartfelt video documenting his last show.
The video showed Sheeran thanking his fans and the crew for being on the show with him, since he’s been constantly on tour with his Divide and Mathematics albums.
He captioned the post, “When the Divide tour ended in 2019, I had already planned Mathematics in my head. My touring team is incredible. They have made the impossible happen week in week out, and are some of the hardest working people in the business.”
The Perfect hitmaker explained how his crew built a 360-degree view cable knit system that was portable, something no one has attempted to do.
He further stated, “Thank you to the 10 million fans who have moved heaven and earth to come to these shows. These shows don’t happen without you; it’s been the best professional experience of my life.”
At the conclusion of his long message, Sheeran announced that Mathematics was officially over and the next decade would be dedicated to Stereo, on a Loop tour that supports his upcoming album, Play.
Netizens rushed to the comment section to congratulate the artist on his special milestone. One fan wrote, “I will forever cherish the moment.” Another follower penned, “Experiencing your talent in person is unreal and so inspiring.”
Notably, Ed Sheeran has been constantly on tour with his previous two albums, Divide and Mathematics. He recently shared the stage with Chris Hemsworth, teaching him drums for his show, Limitless.
For the unversed, Play will be released on September 12, 2025.
Ed Sheeran’s The Loop tour will begin on December 1, 2025, and will conclude on March 5, 2026.
