Charlie Puth disappoints fans with new announcement

Charlie Puth is closer than ever to releasing new music that he has been teasing for a while now and it seems like his listeners are done with the wait.

The How Long singer took to his Instagram on September 9 to make a thrilling announcement for his fans living in New York and Los Angeles.

"I’m so excited to announce the Whatever’s Clever! Residency at @bluenotenyc & @bluenotelosangeles” he wrote in the caption of the post revealing upcoming shows in the Jazz Club.

Charlie went on to note in the caption of the video that this was the most “intimate” look into what he has been working on in past years.

In the clip, the Billboard Music Award winner talked about how he started of performing for smaller venues and wants to get back into that, performing songs that the crowd would know of, as well as some new tracks.

“I thought it was the album,” one netizen wrote in the comments under the post, while another added, “THATS the announcement? I thought finally an album announcement. I should have known. King of leaving us hanging.”

When did Charlie Puth begin teasing the upcoming album?

Charlie stated late last year that the new album which fans have for the time being titled ‘CP4’ will be coming out at the top of this year, but the songwriter hasn’t made many details public about the highly anticipated record.
