Kate Middleton's emotional comment about Prince George at 12

Kate Middleton got candid about how quickly her children are growing up during a royal outing this week.

On Sept. 4, the Princess of Wales, 43, joined Prince William at London’s Natural History Museum to tour its newly renovated gardens. 

Outside the venue, Kate chatted with locals who asked about the couple’s children: Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven.

“They’re getting big now,” she smiled, even gesturing to show how tall they’d become. “George is already in my shoes,” she joked, hinting they now share the same shoe size.

One supporter reminded Kate that they had been among the crowd of well-wishers gathered outside the Lindo Wing during the births of her children. 

Kate warmly thanked them, adding: “It only feels like yesterday.” 

She also recalled sending breakfast to those waiting at the hospital, saying, “It was the least I could do.”

Kate paid tribute to her children during the museum visit, wearing a gold necklace featuring charms of their initials in birth order, a sentimental piece she’s worn since 2021.

The outing came just a day after George, Charlotte and Louis returned to Lambrook School. But this school year will be their last together, as George will age out of the prep school when he turns 13 next summer.
