Meghan Markle’s Netflix series With Love, Meghan could be on the chopping block as industry experts predict it’s unlikely to return for a third season.
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, released season two of her lifestyle and cooking show just last week, but the new episodes failed to land in Netflix’s coveted top 10 chart.
Despite the announcement of a Christmas special airing in December, PR expert Eric Schiffer told Newsweek that the numbers spell trouble.
“When a royal brand can't crack the board, it's likely an obituary for season 3,” Schiffer said.
“Even with Chrissy Teigen and Tan France glitter-bombing the set, the series hit the pavement. Given that it missed by a mile, where even hate-watchers stayed home, Season 3 is unlikely.”
Schiffer added that Meghan’s only hope would be to launch a “big creative idea” that creates buzz and reinvents the format.
While Meghan has not confirmed any future plans for the show, she has continued promoting it on Instagram, sharing behind-the-scenes shots including rare glimpses of her children, Archie, six, and Lilibet, four.
