Blake Lively’s real name has suddenly surfaced in an unexpected way as legal tensions heat up between the actress and Justin Baldoni, sparking fans reaction.

In conversation with Harper’s BAZAAR, the 38-year-old actress explained why she named her beauty brand, Blake Brown.

The interview posted on TikTok surprised fans as the Gossip Girl alum revealed, “It’s an interestingly long story, but my dad took Lively as the last name, and Blake Brown is on my legal documents and birth certificate.”

She further added that it’s an identity that she adopted and said, "Brown is a personal name, and people don’t know anything about it.”

However, the discovery left netizens in shock as they rushed to the comment section to express their sentiments. One fan wrote, "Who else had no clue of this?” Another follower penned, “That is wild! I've never heard of that happening ever!"

Moreover, it was later revealed that Blake’s biological dad, Ernie, took on the last name of her mum’s ex-husband, Ronnie Lively.

Notably, the news comes amid Blake's legal battle with the director of It Ends with Us, Justin Baldoni, whose $400 million countersuit was recently dismissed by a judge, leading to a win for Blake’s legal team.

The trial is scheduled to begin in March 2026, with the mum of three beginning her deposition, as Justin’s lawyer will take the lead in questioning her.
