Dave Chappelle opened up about his sketch comedy TV series called Chappelle’s Show which ran from 2003 to 2006.

The comedian eventually left the series and later revealed that he was suffering from creative burnout, feeling like others were trying to control his work and feeling like some of his sketches were socially irresponsible.

In a recent interview with the Associated Press, the 52-year-old was asked about if he’d revive the show because of its cultural impact and fan interest.

Dave stated “If you’d asked me that question a year ago, I’d have told you absolutely not. But in the last few weeks … I’m considering it.”

The stand-up comedian did not go into much detail about the logistics of the revival but made the remark while reflecting on the fact that the entertainment and comedy space was changing and that his thinking had evolved.

Dave praised one of the up-and-coming, and often viral comedians of the current times, Druski and said that he loved his work.

“One of the worst things that can happen to a comedian is becoming successful before they get good, because you miss the part where you get to explore and make mistakes,” he stated.

Notably, the 52-year-old dished that he remains committed to his approach to comedy and wants to stay true to his work.
