Taylor Frankie Paul and the TV shows she was a part of were swiftly canceled after a 2023 clip of her and her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen went viral, and now the case has been met with an official verdict.
The mother-of-three became the subject of two separate domestic violence investigations by Utah police departments in February over alleged altercations.
As per Deadline, the District Attorney’s office put that they would not be pressing charges against the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star.
“The complainant in these cases reported several incidents – some of which occurred more than three years ago. Any incidents of misdemeanor offenses which are alleged to have occurred more than two years ago are barred by the statute of limitations,” the statement reasoned.
The DA’s office letters to the police departments added that the incidents that had occurred within the statute of limitations were also reviewed.
“Several incidents that were submitted do not rise to the level of criminal offenses. The remaining incidents lack sufficient evidence to support filing criminal charges where the State must be able to prove such allegations beyond a reasonable doubt,” it noted.
The alleged incidents supposedly lacked specificity regarding what actually took place and were not specific enough as well as lacing corroboration.
Notably, a video of an altercation between Taylor and Dakota took the internet by storm and even lead to the cancellation of a several of the former’s shows.
