Dua Lipa is all praise for Britney Spears after the news surfaces that she has checked into rehabilitation centre following her DUI arrest last month.
The Levitating singer calls Britney “an icon,” as she talks about her love for her music, notably the 2003 hit track, Toxic.
In her latest interview with Vogue Magazine, Dua admits that she needs to hear Toxic every single night to unwind and relax.
“I need to hear 'Toxic' at the end of every single night when I'm feeling like that,” says the 30-year-old.
Interestingly, the Houdini singer mentions, “It's one of my favourite songs.”
Dua declares that Toxic is “one of the greatest pop songs ever made”.
Reflecting on its music, the songstress notes, “It makes me feel nostalgic, but also at the same time, if it came out yesterday, it would be an absolute smash. I love it so much.”
Moreover, Dua opens up that the bit that stays in her mind is when the pop icon “appears in a stewardess outfit, and I don't think anyone has been able to make a stewardess outfit look so good”.
“I love Britney so much… love everything about her, all her songs. She's such an icon,” concludes the songstress.
Dua’s comments come after the singer has entered the rehabilitation centre following her arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs in March.
Meanwhile, Britney's representative spoke to the BBC and said that the singer “is going to take the right steps and comply with the law and hopefully this can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney's life”.
