The son of stars Norman Reedus and Helena Christensen, Mingus Reedus has gotten arrested in New York City.
The arrest was confirmed by the New York City Police Department (NYPD), being charged with the criminal obstruction of breathing and assault.
The authorities “observed a 33-year-old female with minor injuries to [her] neck and leg” at the scene, after which he was taken into custody, with the investigation still ongoing.
They further informed People, “EMS responded and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.”
Mingus was previously arrested four years earlier for having assaulted a woman during the San Gennaro festival in the Little Italy district.
He went on to accept a plea deal in 2022 for the lesser charges of disorderly conduct.
At that time, the authorities had responded to a call for an incident having occurred around Mulberry Street and Baxter Street near the 5th Precinct.
When they arrived there, a woman informed them that she had gotten into a verbal confrontation with an unknown man who ended up punching her in the face. That man was later revealed to be Mingus.
He later claimed that the woman and her friends had come after him and his group and he just "threw his arm out" to protect himself.
"It was instinct," he insisted. "I was reacting to them swarming me and was afraid for the safety of my group."
