Benson Boone, who kick started his tour American Heart World in support of his sophomore album, made the headlines for an entirely different reason.
Although the 23-year-old’s musicales were highly anticipated, Benson was widely trolled by the online community for the design of his stage.
A TikToker Dancashio showed the graphic while poking fun at the Beautiful Things hitmaker for the bizarre choice of the platform resembling “ballsack.”
However, Dancashio posed another question for Benson and other performers, asking why is it necessary for them to fly around “above the stage.”
Since the pictures of the place went viral, the netizens cannot stop comparing the design of the place to that of men’s intimate body part.
One of the X users criticised the shape, insisting: “This looks cheap.” Another admirer questioned: “Why’s it that shaped?”
A third one speculated that everyone is on the same page, writing: “The way we all know what it looks like.”
On August 22, the Slow It Down singer pulled off his signature acrobatic move at the opening night, performing a setlist of 22 tracks.
With the sold-out concert, the country artist officially kick started his North American leg of the tour.
He will be making stops in major locations including New York, Miami, Boston, Denver, Las Vegas and Seattle.
The Sugar Sweet crooner will wrap the journey in October with shows in Salt Lake City.
Although the platform was criticised, he is still appreciated for his amazing voice and on-stage performances, winning fans’ hearts.
