Kelly Clarkson looked unrecognizable as she was spotted for the first time since the father of her children, Brandon Blackstock passed away.
The Kelly Clarkson Show host arrived in at LAX, the airport in Los Angeles with her sister Alyssa and kids, River, 11, and Remington, nine on Saturday, August 22.
In snaps taken of the three-time Grammy winner, she wore a stoic expression on her face, while also being dressed in black from head-to-toe.
The Stronger singer seemed to be wanting to fly under the radar as she paired her incognito look with a black cowboy hat and black sunglasses.
Kelly had separated from the talent manager in 2022, but the two remained close to co-parent their young ones.
After Brandon’s cancer got worse, the 43-year-old postponed her live performances to spend more time with family.
“While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them,” she had candidly written in a social media post.
However, news of the 48-year-old’s death followed less than 24 hours later and the illness was revealed to be melanoma, which he had been battling for years prior.
Brandon breathed his last on August 7, 2025, leaving his family heartbroken.
