Harrison Ford spills surprising secrets of his marriage to Flockhart

Hollywood legend Harrison Ford has revealed the secret to keeping his marriage with Calista Flockhart alive after 15 years together.

The 83-year-old actor, best known for his iconic role in blockbuster film Han Solo disclosed that he worked every day to maintain the love.

During an appearance on NPR’s Wild Card with Rachel Martin, he confessed, “Old people can love, too.”

“You think it’s the business of youth or something, you know, and staying in love is the issue. Maintaining, nurturing, basically not [expletive] up.”

Ford, who tied the knot with Ally McBeal actress in 2010, joked that even the happiest couples sometimes need “days off for bad behaviour.”

Moreover, when asked how long he’s been married, the Indiana Jones actor quipped, “If you ask me, I would say all my life. I was married for the first time at 23 years of age, which should be illegal.”

For the unversed, he was previously wed to illustrator Mary Marquardt from 1964 to 1979.

Then his second marriage to screenwriter Melissa Mathison lasted from 1983 until their divorce in 2004

While reflecting on his past marriages, he the veteran actor said, “Things turned out all right for everybody.”
