Bon Odenkirk has opened up about his most iconic and beloved character Saul Goodman from the award-winning series Breaking Bad.
The Nobody star commented on the show’s creators Vince Gillian and Peter Gould, saying that he would be willing to work with them again if the opportunity arises.
In an interview on the Today show, the comedian noted about him stepping into the role again, “of course I would.”
Bob continued, “That part turned my life around, and I’ve given more to that part than anything I’ve done, Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould created that show. They are some of the best writers who ever worked in TV. So if they were to think of something in that world, of course I would do it.”
The Better Call Saul actor added that he does not think that the character would be revived by its creators, also reminding people that there was not much left to add to the story of the manipulative, criminal defense lawyer.
Saul ends up accepting his fate in the 2022 finale episode Saul Gone of the titular series, in which he gets sentenced to 83 years in prison as a result of his criminal entanglements with Walter White from Breaking Bad.
Yes, Bob Odenkirk had a heart attack that resulted in his heart stopping for 18 minutes, while filming Better Call Saul.
