Why Meghan Markle's Hollywood BFFs snubbed her on her birthday

Meghan Markle turned 44 this week, and while a royal family shout-out was never on the cards, fans noticed a different silence: no public birthday posts from A-list pals Beyoncé, Tyler Perry, or Oprah Winfrey. 

The trio have previously marked Meghan’s day online, Beyoncé on her website in 2021, Perry in 2022, and Oprah in 2023, but this year, timelines stayed quiet.

In 2025, many celebs are dialling back performative posts in favour of private messages, and it’s entirely possible Meghan’s inner circle sent love by text, call, or in-person celebrations. 

Another theory is that the Duchess opted for a low-key birthday to keep attention off herself as Prince Harry eyes a potential UK trip, with sources and commentators urging a quieter tone around the Sussexes to avoid derailing any behind-the-scenes bridge-building.

Meghan herself hinted at a more intimate vibe, thanking her “husband, friends and family” for a special 24 hours and spotlighting a celebratory dinner, not a splashy party. 

So while the lack of public posts sparked chatter, it may simply reflect a strategy shift: fewer optics, more off-camera support.
