Prince Harry, Meghan Markles one Netflix move could worsen royal rift

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle just locked in a fresh multi-year, first-look deal with Netflix, and a former royal butler says the Palace’s biggest worry is crystal clear.

Grant Harrold, who served King Charles, told OLBG the royals are now “used to” the Sussexes calling their own shots, but one thing still sets off alarm bells: another tell-all aimed at the family.

“If they cause any more damage with these programmes it will impact any on-going attempts to build bridges,” he warned, adding Harry and Meghan will likely be “more careful” this time.

Under the renewed first-look pact, Netflix gets first dibs to approve or pass on projects, the couple keeps creating through Archewell Productions, but, as industry chatter notes, with more options and less upfront investment than their original reported $100M deal.

Meghan confirmed the extension and a brand crossover: “We’re proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As Ever brand,” praising partners who “create thoughtful content across genres.”

Next up is season two of With Love, Meghan which drops this month, promising “celebrity chefs, talented artists, and beloved friends” plus hands-on DIY moments.

It follows a slate that includes Harry & Meghan, Heart of Invictus, Live to Lead and Polo

Their 2022 docuseries Harry & Meghan was a monster hit at launch, pulling 23.4 million views in its first four days, the streamer’s biggest doc debut at the time.
