Dolly Parton, who is regarded as one of the most-honoured female country artists, seemingly understood what Kelly Clarkson might be going through.

As the 79-year-old singer lost her husband Carl Dean five months ago, Dolly gave a piece of advice to the grieving Kelly, whose ex-husband Brandon Blackstock passed away.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the Jolene hitmaker motivated the host to remember the happier memories with the deceased person.

The businesswoman believes that the 43-year-old should be “grateful for the years that” they have had with someone, focusing on the “very best of all that.”

The Powerful Women crooner suggested that anyone coping with such a huge loss should take “energy” from the good days of the past.

According to her, one should take in the positivity of that time and “let that become a part of you.”

Moreover, the songstress wants the former wife of Brandon and step-mom Reba McEntire to “honor their memory,” ensuring they “are in a better place than we are these days.”

The statement seemingly shows her commitment to people around her and the singer's down-to-earth nature. 

However, she is yet to contact the Stronger singer as she has been occupied with the promotion of her memoir Star Of The Show: My Life On Stage.

When did Kelly Clarkson’s ex-husband died?

The singer’s former partner Brandon, who was a talent manager and producer, passed away on August 7 after battling cancer for a long time.

Before his demise, the Breakaway hitmaker postponed her dates in Las Vegas after he fell ill.
