Jennifer Aniston shuts down ‘nepo baby’ claims

Jennifer Aniston is well known for playing the role of Rachel Green on the hit sitcom Friends.

The actress has been the American sweetheart for decades, but many have claimed that her success is due to her ties to the film industry.

Many celebrities from Jennifer’s generation have come from Hollywood royalty families and through their links made their way into the industry gaining massive success.

Jennifer is the daughter of actor John Aniston and TV actress Nancy Dow, which makes people believe she had toed to the industry before bagging the big role of Rachel.

In conversation with Variety, the actress has hit back at those claims saying she has not benefited from nepotism.

“Listen, I am so grateful. I came from nothing. We were broke. There’s no nepo baby here”, the actress insisted.

In her memoir From Mother and Daughter to Friends, Nancy claimed that there were times John, who passed away in 2022, couldn't afford to pay their mortgage.

Jennifer has said that her drive to work came from “always wanting to get Pop’s approval”.

Previously, the Hollywood diva also opened up about the effect her parents’ divorce had on her love life.

The Friends star herself has been married and divorced twice in her life.
