Jennifer Aniston makes heartbreaking admission about ‘Friends’ co-star Matthew Perry

Jennifer Aniston shot to fame from the hit sitcom Friends in 1994 where she played the role of Rachel Green, 1 out of 6 friends on the show.

The actress’ co-star Matthew Perry, who played the role of sarcastic and humorous Chandler Bing passed away in October 2023 after a long battle with drug addiction.

Almost two years after his tragic death, Jennifer has made a heartbreaking admission about the late actor’s state before his death.

In conversation with Variety, the actress said she attempted to help him as much as she could.

“We did everything we could when we could.”, she said.

She added “But it almost felt like we’d been mourning Matthew for a long time because his battle with that disease was a really hard one for him to fight.”.

However, she also said that as much as it hurts everyone who loved him, it is better for him.

“As hard as it was for all of us and for the fans, there’s a part of me that thinks this is better.”.

Jennifer said she is glad Matthew is “out of that pain”.

Matthew was battling with a three-decade-long drug addiction which led him into rehabilitation 15 times.

On October 28, Matthew was found unresponsive in a hot tub in his LA home. His death was later revealed to be caused due to acute effects of ketamine.
