Angelina Jolie considers drastic step to shield kids from Brad Pitt Drama

Angelina Jolie, long regarded as a Hollywood icon, may soon bid farewell to the United States following her divorce settlement with Brad Pitt.

The 50-year-old actress is reportedly exploring the possibility of buying a home overseas, signalling a potential new chapter in her life.

According to People magazine, she is considering “several locations abroad.”

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Mr. & Mrs. Smith star revealed that Cambodia holds a special place in her heart and would be a destination she visits frequently after the divorce.

She already owns a traditional wooden longhouse there, purchased after adopting her eldest son, Maddox.

Back in 2019, she also offered a rare glimpse of the property in a campaign for Mon Guerlain Intense perfume.

Furthermore, Page Six reported that Jolie is ready to move on now that their “exhausting” divorce battle concluded in 2024.

The Maleficent actress and the Troy star’s 2016 breakup sparked an eight-year legal fight over custody and assets.

Although they reached a settlement last year, a dispute over their $500 million French estate, Château Miraval, is still ongoing.

Previously, the Oscar-winning actress lived in her historic $24.5 million property, but she recently parted ways with the estate. 

She had originally chosen the residence to ensure her six children remained close to their father.
