Raye speaks out in defense of Taylor Swift against ‘cruel’ remarks

Raye proved herself to be a real Swiftie after she defended Taylor Swift against hateful comments.
In conversation with Spotify, the 27-year-old singer gushed about the pop queen, praising her as lovely and grounded.
Raye, whose real name is Rachel Agatha Keen, admitted, “It’s just nice to see someone at the top of their game just being grounded and lovely, the internet is so cruel.”
She also expressed her wish to create a fan account and fire back at the critics, “It just made me want to start a fan account and be like, ‘Shut up about her!’ She’s so nice!”

Notably, on August 20, 2024, the Escapism hitmaker opened for Swift at the Eras Tour in London. For her act, she performed five singles: It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World, Escapism, Ice Crem Man, Worth It, and You Don’t Know Me.
Though Raye has been in the music industry since 2014, her global breakthrough came after the release of Escapism in 2023, which put her at the top of the Billboard charts.
Aside from Raye, the opening acts on the Grammy winner’s tour included stars like Sabrina Carpenter, Gracie Abrams, Suki Waterhouse, Phoebe Bridgers, and Benson Boone, among others.
