Pedro Pascal, who broke records with Fantastic Four: First Steps, has finished filming the MCU’s yet another anticipated movie, Avengers: Doomsday.
Let’s not overlook The Last of Us alum’s Emmy nomination for Lead Actor this year.
Pascal has made headlines in 2025 with so many roles, either as Mr. Fantastic, a charming millionaire in Materialists, or the incumbent mayor running for re-election in Eddington.
Amidst all of his releases this year, the Chilean-born actor began filming with Avengers: Doomsday’s star-studded cast in April, but he has already wrapped it up.
After charming and action-driven characters, Pascal is preparing to work on a more grounded and self-reflective portrayal in Tony Gilroy’s Behemoth!.
The news came out yesterday, Aug. 9, as reported by Deadline.
Although the deal isn’t finalised yet, sources say that Pascal wants to do it and things are going well.
Moreover, as Gilroy is known for making smart, tightly written, politically charged thrillers and character-driven dramas, it could diversify Pascal’s persona, leaning him towards 2026 awards buzz.
The Andor director’s slow-burn thriller style of storytelling will give Pascal the space to showcase his acting skills on a new landscape.
Wrapping Avengers: Doomsday marks a key MCU milestone, especially following Fantastic Four: First Steps’ record-breaking success, solidifying Pascal’s dominance across both blockbuster franchises and prestige cinema.
Now, if Pascal and Gilroy’s partnership moves forward, we can only wonder what the indie internet’s favourite star will be presenting next year.
