Joanna was the third wife of Johnny Carson, the host of The Tonight Show. Her death was confirmed by her friend’s social media posts, according to Extra.
After breathing her last in July, the 93-year-old’s funeral was observed last week.
On July 30, the model’s death was cited alongside Wallis Annenberg by the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation for being “dear friend and supporters” of the organization.
In 1997, Johnny and Joanna first met at the age of 21 where the host ended up “flirting like a sophomore” with the departed soul.
According to the comedian, the model was among the Manhattan’s highest-paid at that time. The two celebrated his 46th birthday on their first date.
She shared a son with her former husband Tim Holland during their marriage of nearly six years.
He tied knot with his beloved third wife in 1972 after finalising his divorce with his second spouse in the same year.
The host publicly announced his marriage on the Tonight Show while celebrating its decade anniversary.
Johnny died at the age of 79 in 2005 after being the face of the talk show from 1962 until 1992.
