Diddy, who was found guilty of two counts in sex trafficking and racketeering case, was hit a major setback for the fifth time ahead of sentencing.
While the Bad Boy Records owner remains behind bars until hearing on October 3, Diddy’s team is putting in all efforts to avoid his imprisonment.
In recent turn of events, the Victory hitmaker’s bail was denied by the court with judge declaring that he might pose risk of “flight or danger” to the community.
On August 4, the rapper was denied an exit as Judge Arun Subramanian insisted in the court documents to present evidence that the “person is not likely to flee or pose a danger to” anyone if released.
Certain conditions need to be fulfilled to ensure Diddy’s release.
These include undisputed evidence that “defendant posed no risk of flight or danger” and his “advanced age and serious medical conditions.”
It was noted that the disgraced music mogul “fails to satisfy his burden to demonstrate an entitlement to release.”
Although Donald Trump was reportedly seriously considering granting him a presidential pardon, he recently stated that it would be difficult for him to remove the charges.
However, the rapper’s team desperately continues to reach out to the president to get him out of jail. The continuous failure in attempts paint a grim picture for his fate.
Initially, the case was speculated to turn into the imprisoned vocalist’s favour.
With all the circumstances pilling up, it seems difficult for the record executive to completely clear his name of charges after “partial victory.”
According to final verdict delivered on July 2, the 55-year-old was found not guilty of sex trafficking and racketeering. He was convicted on lesser charges of transportation.
