David Harbour sent fans into a frenzy after he dropped an update on his bloody Christmas sequel, Violent Night 2.

Recently at FanX’s Tampa Bay Comic-Con, the 50-year-old actor confirmed that the film will go into production in four weeks.

In conversation with Collider, he said, “I'm doing the sequel to Violent Night in four weeks.”

Netizens expressed their joy on social media, praising Harbour for his role as the gruff Santa Claus in the first film. One fan commented, “David Harbour ate this role up, looking forward to the sequel for sure.”

Another well-wisher wrote, “I loved the first one, that trailer gave me happy tears of joy.”

The first installment follows St. Nick, played by David Harbour, a crime-fighting Santa Claus, as he brutally beats up mercenaries who took a family hostage on Christmas Eve.

Directed by Tommy Wirkola and written by Pat Casey and Josh Miller, the action thriller movie garnered $76 million at the global box office against a budget of $20 million.

Notably, the Stranger Things star will reprise his role with the directors and writers for Violent Night 2, though plot and casting details are currently kept under wraps. Fans speculate it will be revealed in the following months.

For the unversed, Violent Night 2 is slated for a winter release on December 4, 2026.
