Prime Video’s beloved series The Summer I Turned Pretty is airing the first four episodes of its third and final season, and Jackie Chung is addressing the future of her character’s daughter.

After so many twists so far, including cheating allegations against Jeremiah, Steven’s heart-stopping car crash, and a family-rifting engagement.

The plot in question remains the ongoing love triangle between Belly (Lola Tung), Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno), and Conrad (Christopher Briney).

Fans are impatient to see who ends up together by the finale of this season.

As of episode four, Belly, played by Lola Tung, is distanced from her mother Laurel, as Belly doesn’t want to marry Jeremiah so young.

Belly is so convinced that she even threatens Laurel, telling her not to attend the wedding.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Jackie revealed what she feels about Laurel this season.

“I feel like Laurel isn’t even being that prescriptive,” Jackie said. “She’s just being like, ‘Keep an open mind, like, keep your opportunities open.’”

Moreover, Belly doesn’t know that Jeremiah cheated on Laurel, so the THR interviewer asked Jackie what Belly’s reaction would be if she knew.

“I don’t even know if she needs any more fuel for her fire,” the actress said, laughing. “Without knowing the specifics, I feel like she could understand both sides. They’re still young, like things happen, and she’s known him so long. She loves Jeremiah, like he is part of her own family.”

Jackie believes that knowing about the cheating wouldn’t help, but the actress added, “Just Belly not living out her full college life potential is enough for Laurel to be against the wedding.”
