Arnold Schwarzenegger’s first major TV role has hit a dead end.
Netflix has officially pulled the plug on Fubar following a dull reception to its second season, which dropped in June.
The news came just days after the veteran actor’s 78th birthday, casting a shadow over the milestone moment.
The action-comedy series initially premiered on screens in May 2023, drawing in over 11 million viewers during its debut weekend.
But season two couldn’t maintain the momentum, garnering just 2.2 million views in its opening weekend and quickly sliding off Netflix’s Top 10 list.
Fubar followed Schwarzenegger as Luke Brunner, a CIA agent forced back into action alongside his daughter Emma, portrayed by Monica Barbaro.
Despite its promising set-up, fans felt the second chapter lacked the spark of the first.
Social media was flooded with disappointed reactions, with some viewers calling the show “unbearably dull” and “silly nonsense.”
One fan admitted to quitting halfway through, while another lamented the absence of key character dynamics, saying, “Emma and Aldon barely shared a scene.”
Reportedly, Netflix made the tough call that Fubar won’t be back for a third mission.
