Adam Sandler reveals worst part of 'Jay Kelly'

Adam Sandler, who rose to fame in the 1990s as a cast member on Saturday Night Live (SNL), recently made a surprising claim.

The 59-year-old comedian has confessed that he’s eagerly counting down the days until he can finally ditch the suits for good.

Sandler, known for his signature baggy shorts, hoodies, and sneakers, revealed to Entertainment Tonight that he’s found promoting his new film, Jay Kelly, in formalwear “horrendous.”

“I think I only have three different suits, and one of them I don’t like,” he groaned.

“I can’t stand the pants. I can’t stand the jackets. The stupid shirts. Hate them all.”

Even when complimented on his new look, the actor curtly replied, “No … thank you.”

The polished attire comes at the urging of co-star George Clooney, 64, who insisted the Happy Gilmore actor swap his casual wardrobe for sleek suits during the film’s promotional tour.

While speaking at the New York Film Festival in September, Clooney joked: “Don’t you think he looks nicer instead of those big baggy shorts?”

Big Daddy lead star, who has unintentionally become a style icon with his relaxed “Sandlercore” look on TikTok, confessed he’s baffled by the trend. 

Jay Kelly, which follows Clooney as a famous actor and Sandler as his devoted manager on a journey through Europe, hits select UK cinemas on Nov. 14 before streaming on Netflix from Dec. 5.
