Sabrina Carpenter, currently headlining her Short n' Sweet tour, is set to dazzle audiences in a brand-new musical adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s classic Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

The 26-year-old singer-actress, who rose to fame with her breakout role in Disney Channel’s Girl Meets World, is now set to take on her first leading role in a major studio film announced by Universal Pictures.

Most importantly, she will not only star in the untitled project but also step into the producer’s chair, collaborating with acclaimed filmmaker Marc Platt.

Lorene Scafaria, famed for the Jennifer Lopez hit Hustlers, is on board to write and direct the magical movie.

Notably, this marks a major milestone for Sabrina, who has previously been seen in supporting roles in Netflix’s Tall Girl series and the poignant drama The Hate U Give

Details about the rest of the cast and release date remain under wraps, leaving fans eagerly speculating who might join her on this whimsical journey through Wonderland.

The announcement comes just days after the Expresso hitmaker scored a remarkable six Grammy nominations for the 2026 ceremony for her latest album, Man’s Best Friend

She is in the running for Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and more, proving she’s at the top of her game both on screen and in music.

Sabrina’s seventh studio album, Man’s Best Friend, dropped on August 29, 2025, and has been celebrated for its eclectic mix of pop and introspective tracks.
