Princess Diana's niece Lady Eliza Spencer gets engaged in a dreamy Santorini proposal
Eliza shared a series of dreamy photos from their seaside engagement in Greece
Love is in the Santorini air, and Lady Eliza Spencer's royal proposal is the stuff of fairytales.
The 33-year-old niece of the late Princess Diana, is officially engaged to her longtime partner, Channing Millerd.
The couple announced the news on July 31 via Instagram, where Eliza shared a series of dreamy photos from their seaside engagement in Greece.
Set against a picturesque backdrop of whitewashed cliffs and cerulean waters, Millerd proposed at sunset with a candlelit floral arrangement framing a private table for two.
In one photo, Eliza beams with joy, hand resting on Millerd’s neck as she flashes her engagement ring, a dazzling sparkler that’s already turning heads online.
Lady Eliza’s twin sister, Lady Amelia Spencer, was among the first to celebrate the couple publicly, commenting: “The best news everrrrrrrr,” followed by, “The BEST NEWS IN THE WORLD. I love you both with all my heart! The perfect couple and dream engagement.”
The Spencer sisters are known for their close bond, often appearing together at public events like Royal Ascot.
Their partners, too, share a long-standing friendship. Millerd and Greg Mallett, Lady Amelia’s husband, were schoolmates and remain close.
The Spencer siblings, Eliza, Amelia, Lady Kitty, and their brother Louis Spencer, Viscount Althorp, are children of Charles Spencer, 9th Earl Spencer, Princess Diana’s younger brother.
Louis, the eldest, is heir to the family’s Althorp estate, where Diana spent her early years.
